Flood Debris

Household Hazardous Materials

  • Includes paints, stains, automotive fluids, flammable and caustic liquids, gas cylindars, aerosol cans and other hazardous materials
  • Keep in original containers
  • Place in tubs where possible
  • Residential materials are accepted without charge from Linn County residents
  • Businesses must contact the Solid Waste Agency to fill out VSQG Business Packet prior to material acceptance.  More Business Information


  • Includes furnces, water heaters and all other household appliances
  • Refrigerators and freezers MUST be empty and cleaned out of ALL food
  • $9.00 per appliance

Electronic Items

  • Flood impacted electronic waste will be accepted for recycling in the Resource Recovery Building
  • $10.00 per unit for televisions/monitors ≤18"; $15.00 per unit for all televisions/monitors ≥19" including all CRTs
  • All other electronic items may be recycled at the Resource Recovery Building at no charge for Linn County residents

Solid Waste

  • Structural debris, drywall, carpet and carpet pad, and all other non-hazardous solid waste
