Community Partnership Grant
Since 1996, the Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency has provided more than $500,000 in grants to Linn County communities, agencies, organizations, and businesses as part of the Community Partnership Grant Program. Funds have supported landfill diversion, waste reduction, environmental education events, recycling services, and composting projects. Grant funding comes from landfill tipping fees.
To apply for a Community Partnership Grant, thoroughly read the application guidelines, and then complete an application (link below). Up to $7,500 may be awarded for projects that meet the criteria and fulfill the Agency mission. Linn County communities, non-profit organizations & agencies, schools, and businesses may apply; individual residents are not eligible.
The Community Partnership Grant Program reflects the environmental stewardship priorities of the Agency’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
