OUR MISSION
Ensuring health, safety, and welfare of the community through cost-effective and environmentally-sound practices for management of solid waste generated in Linn County

The following services are available at the County Home Road:

Landfill

Waste Disposal - $35/ton.  $5 minimum for cars/vans, $15 minimum for pickups/service vans.  Tipping fee doubles for loads containing recyclable cardboard.  All waste must be covered and secured or it will be subject to an unsecured load fee of up to $25.

Recycling Drive-Thru Center

Items accepted FREE of charge from residents of Linn County, unless noted otherwise. Recycling attendant present to help unload your vehicle.

•Computer Monitors ($5 each)   •Copier/Fax/Printer ($3-$15 each)

•Curbside Recyclables     •Electronics

•Motor Oil & Oil Filters     •PCB Ballasts ($9 each)

•Plastic Bags/Wrap     

•Syringes/Sharps (secured in a heavy plastic container)

•Scrap Metal (free of cement, fluids, glass, plastic and wood)

•Televisions ($5-$10)  

•Tires ($1 per car tire, $2 per tire with rim, $10-$25 for all others)


Household Hazardous Materials


By Appointment Only.  FREE service through our Pollution Prevention Center (PPC) allows Linn County residents to safely dispose of Household Hazardous Materials. You can make your appointment by calling or clicking here.
  



Organics Disposal

Organics / Yard Waste  ($15 per ton - $5 minimum)
Residential Only - No Business
materials accepted include brush, tree limbs/trunks, plant/grass clippings, leaves, and clean wood waste such as pallets and untreated scrap lumber.


SWAP Shop

Items received by PPC staff and deemed usable, are available to Linn County residents FREE of charge.  Residents don't have to drop items off to pick something up.
